Suitably qualified and experienced entities are hereby invited to tender for the following services to Debswana Diamond Company (Pty) Ltd at OLDM and Jwaneng Mines. Citizen Owned Companies will be given preference:

 

Doc1815041805 - RFP - SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF CONVEYOR BELTS FOR DEBSWANA OPERATIONS

                                                                                                          

Brief

 

The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to identify and contract with suitably skilled, experienced and innovative vendor specialising in the Supply of SANS 1173:2013 or equally approved conveyor belts. The conveyor belts should be compatible with average Botswana summer and winter temperatures.

 

Scope of Services

 

Debswana intends to form a strategic partnership with such with a preferably suitably qualified, experienced and fully registered Citizen Owned vendor (s) with for the purposes of:

 

·         Supplying and ensuring availability of SANS 1173:2013 or equally approved conveyor belts to Debswana Operations or belting already in use at operations and complying to Debswana Conveyor Standard 3040-00000-04-5106-STD-M-011

·         Steel cord conveyor belting shall comply with the latest Debswana Steel Cord Reinforced Conveyor Belting Standard (3040-00000-04-5106-STD-M-013) and Steel Cord Reinforced Conveyor Belting (SANS 1366).

·         Fabric conveyor belting shall comply with the latest Debswana Solid Woven Conveyor Belting Standard (3040-00000-04-5106-STD-M-014) and General-Purpose Textile Reinforced Conveyor Belting (SANS 1173).

·         PVC impregnated solid woven conveyor belting shall comply with the latest Debswana Solid Woven Conveyor Belting Standard (3040-00000-04-5106-STD-M-014) and Fire-Retardant Textile Reinforced Conveyor Belting (Solid woven PVC, SANS 948, and SANS 971).

 

Delivery of SANS 1173:2013 complying to Debswana Conveyor Standard 3040-00000-04-5106-STD-M-011 or equally approved conveyor belts to designated operations at OLDM and Jwaneng Mine

 

Pre-bid Meeting

 

Prospective tenderers are required to attend a compulsory pre-bid Meeting to get more clarity on the scope of services and the conditions under which the services are to be executed. Tenderers will also have an opportunity to ask questions on the scope of services. The pre-bid details are as follows:

Tendering on Ariba

 

Debswana has adopted SAP Ariba – an online bidding and supplier management solution for all its tendering and supplier registration requirements. There is no requirement to purchase the Tender document. Interested tenderers who wish to participate in the tender should follow the Steps in Part 2 and/or Part 1.

 

Tenderers who are already registered with Debswana on SAP Ariba should just register their interest on the RFP as per instructions on Part 2 below. Those not registered as Debswana Suppliers on SAP Ariba platform will need to complete the following steps in Part 1 & 2.

 

Part 1: Registering as a vendor on SAP Ariba

To participate in any event on SAP Ariba, a supplier will need to be registered on SAP Ariba and have a valid SAP Ariba Network Supplier account and profile by following the steps below:

  1.  Go to Debswana SAP Ariba self-registration page:

  1.  Initiate Account creation
  2.  Complete account registration
  3. Once you have SAP Ariba Network Supplier Account and access credentials, proceed to Part 2 below:

 

Part 2: Indicating Interest to Participate in the RFP (for Ariba Registered Suppliers)

  1. Register your interest by completing the form using the following link: https://forms.office.com/r/nBjCG4mdta before 1630hrs on Friday 12th April 2024.

Submission

 

Tenderers are required to submit their respective bids on or before the Friday 3rd May 2024 at 1230hrs through the Debswana SAP Ariba platform as per the instructions to be provided.

 

Tenders received via telephone, telex, email or facsimile will not be considered. Debswana reserves the right to accept or reject any tender and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any portion of any tender.
