In 2014; Côte d'Ivoire established the national health insurance scheme; the “Couverture Maladie Universelle (CMU). The World Bank's Health System Assessment (2020) estimated at 40% the share of the private sector in the health supply in Côte d'Ivoire. To be successful it is important that the private sector participates in the CMU program. By contracting with the private sector facilities; the CMU will help cover these costs for patients and so make care from the private sector more accessible and affordable.IFC is seeking the services of a consulting firm (“Consultant”) to:- Organize a workshop on international experience of contracting with the private sector and implications for Côte d'Ivoire;- Evaluate readiness and willingness of private health facilities to participate into national insurance program in Côte d'Ivoire- Undertake legal; policy; and regulatory review;- Conduct a Study on contracting outlining proposals for the approach taken by the Côte d'Ivoire government towards contracting with the private sector.
